Find Your Laptop Screen Model

To identify your laptop screen model number, check the back of the display for stickers showing the manufacturer and model. Sometimes tools like HWINFO help, but usually you need to remove the screen.

Steps to find your screen model:

  1. Locate the sticker on the back of the LCD panel.
  2. Identify the manufacturer code: for example, AU Optronics screens start with "B", LG screens start with "LP".
  3. The screen model will start with the manufacturer code, followed by a 3-digit screen size code. For example, an 11.6" AUO screen will start with B116, an 11.6" LG screen will start with LP116.

Popular LCD brands:

  • AU Optronics (AUO): Bxxx
  • BoeHydis / Hyundai BOE: NVxxx, NExxx, NTxxx, HTxxx
  • Innolux / CHIMEI: Nxxx
  • CSOT: MNxxxxxxx-x, MCxxxxx
  • HKC: MBxxx, MCxxx
  • IVO: Mxxx-Rx, Rxxx-Rx, Xxxx-Rx
  • JDI: Jxxx, LPMxxx
  • LG Display: LPxxx
  • Panda: LMxxx, LCxxx
  • Samsung: LTNxxxx, ATNxxxx
  • Sharp: LQxxx
  • Tianma: TLxxxxxx, TVxxxxxx

Many laptops have their own manufacturer part codes; check the sticker carefully for both the laptop part number and the LCD panel number.
